Sydney is looking forward to its greatest 'cold snap' in recorded history, as Darling Harbour becomes a winter wonderland full of activities and frozen delights never before seen in the Harbour City.

​Sydney is looking forward to its greatest 'cold snap' in recorded history, as Darling Harbour becomes a winter wonderland full of activities and frozen delights never before seen in the Harbour City.  Along with a giant sparkling snowflake, an ice-rink, snow cannons and snow pits, an inflatable iceberg will be installed at Cockle Bay in June as part of Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority’s inaugural Cool Yule Festival. Minister for Planning Pru Goward said Cool Yule, starting today, and running until 13 July, is a brand new event celebrating all things winter and encouraging visitors to get out and enjoy the cooler weather.“By offering an innovative take on the traditional winter Festival, Cool Yule will help to drive visitors to Darling Harbour during the typically quieter winter period.
