Sydney exploring a new tourist opportunity

A new ‘metropolitan strategy’ will bring fresh tourism opportunities to Sydney, but not unless past mistakes are avoided and proper transport access is put in place.

A new ‘metropolitan strategy’ will bring fresh tourism opportunities to Sydney, but not unless past mistakes are avoided and proper transport access is put in place.

So says the industry body TTF (Tourism & Transport Forum), commenting on the NSW government’s Metropolitan Strategy released on Sunday 14 December. The strategy sets out a plan for new precincts and major centres that, TTF concedes, could make Sydney “an even more attractive place for international visitors” if it is delivered well. TTF CEO Margy Osmond said the government’s focus on precincts like the Olympic Park to Parramatta corridor, the ‘cultural ribbon’ and the Bays Precinct had enormous potential for tourism. The Olympic Park to Parramatta corridor could help cement Olympic Park as a major sporting and entertainment precinct, finally realising the Olympic legacy, and the five kilometres of new harbourside activities in the Bays Precinct also offered an opportunity to create a world-renowned destination, she said.

Flamin' Galah Sydney Tours and Airport Transfers would like to emphasise the fact that as a company we do not just provide  private charters and customised tours and also Home and Away Tours, but we also are very active with Sydney transport services.  We offer local transport for school groups, wedding events, airport ransfers, cruise shop transfers and also for students.  In the current climate Sydney traffic can get choked and we therefore invite groups to make use of our Sydney transport services.
