Regional tourism is to share $300 million with environment projects as part of an updated $20 billion plan for rebuilding New South Wales.

NSW Premier Mike Baird said the government planned to ‘turbocharge’ the State through a range of developments with the lion’s share reserved for ambitious road projects. The announcement would be “music to the ears of the tourism sector”, according to the industry body Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF). “This is the kind of big picture thinking that the tourism industry has been keen to see,” said TTF CEO Margy Osmond. “These investments will mean a more liveable, exciting Sydney that continues to attract international and domestic visitors. “The investment in cultural and sport infrastructure from the state government’s proposed asset recycling will boost the New South Wales visitor economy and help the state achieve its target of doubling overnight visitor expenditure by 2020.

Flamin' Galah Sydney Tours and Airport Transfers are ready and waiting for increased traffic into Sydney and NSW thanks to this funding.  It is also excellent to hear that some of NSW rural areas will benefit and hopefully this will attract more people to visit areas outside of the cities.  Australia is made up of vast open space and within it are populated areas that deserve more attention and also visitation.  Flamin' Galah Sydney Tours are always encouraging to experience the real Australia and to experience life out of the cites.  Our private charters and customised tours allow people to visit more rural parts of NSW and these we think are some of the best tours that we offer.
