Three years ago, Flamin’ Galah Sydney Tours and Airport Transfers was born.  It was a light bulb moment one evening, sat on a balcony in Manly, drinking a glass of wine!  The next day, the now owner/operator, Al Wilson went out in search of the ultimate Sydney tour itinerary.  The aim was to design a tour that gave the “Sydney experience seeker” the most comprehensive, in depth and revealing tour of Sydney’s scenery that was humanly possible.

So after an unbelievably beautiful day today, exploring Sydney's bush and the beaches, its time to relax and check out the photos.  This one is my favourite...Today we saw a bush wallaby, a goanna that we nearly trod on and also filming at Palm Beach for the TV show Home and Away.  Today's Sydney tour was the full package.  Thanks to the Wiles for being such wonderful company today and so glad they enjoyed it so much.  Margaret even said it was her favourite day so far on her Australian trip.  That is saying something considering they have been whale watching and been to Green Island on the Great Barrier Reef!!!! If anyone wants to see what the fuss is about and why we love this Sydney Tour so much, then click on

Sydney Tours Hunter Valley

Another gorgeous sunny day in Sydney added to the fun filled and not altogether sober day we had in the Hunter Valley on Sunday.  The Hunter Valley is one of the favourite Sydney tours and this Sydney trip was another private charter organised through an after work social club.  18 happy campers enjoyed wine at Ballourbneen, Hungerford Hill Wines and Draytons.  We also took time to enjoy the Hunter Valley Gardens Village and lunch at the Irish pub just down the road.  A mixture of wine, chocolate, wine, cheese, champagne, strawberries, wine, beautiful views, wine, kangaroos and did I mention wine made this day a classic Hunter Valley tour.  Next time the after work social group plan on a trip to Bowral and later in the year there are many more trips planned.  More info about our Hunter Valley tours can be seen at http://www.flamingalahtours.com.au/sydney-tours-and-services/sydney-discovery-pass-full-day

Multi-Day Sydney Tour

By Flamin' Galah Sydney Tours on Tuesday, August 13, 2013

The best way to see Sydney is use local knowledge and rely on someone who knows the place well.  That is exactly what 13 lovely people from Singapore did when they booked Flamin' Galah Sydney Tours for 4 consecutive private charter tours.  We visited the Blue Mountains, the Hunter Valley, the city sights, including Bondi Beach and then also a tour around Sydney's gorgeous Northern Beaches and through bush and around the Hawkesbury River.  We also included a Sydney Harbour cruise for them on one of the Sydney wooden tall ships.   The four days were very successful as a multi-day Sydney tour and I know that the group really enjoyed themselves.  It has also prompted Flamin' Galah Sydney Tours to analyse our tour products and offer some multi-day tour options.  These can be seen on the website as our Sydney Discovery Tours.  Again, thanks to the group from Singapore for inspiring us to create these products.

Another overseas group from Asia took up our city sights tour, but whilst they were at it, they signed up for Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley as well.  This group first of all saw Bondi Beach and did the scenic coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama Beach.  After Bondi, we went to South Head and Watson's Bay via the Gap and the view from the pier at Doyles take away.  We then headed to Mrs Macquarie's chair for quintessential views of the Opera House and the Bridge, before then a visit to the Opera House and then a visit to the viewpoint directly beneath the Harbour Bridge.  Lunch was plentiful at the Rocks during the Friday Markets, so that went down well, before then heading to Manly via Middle Harbour and the view of Sydney Harbour.  They finished a long but eventful day of sightseeing whilst looking around Manly, the shops and of course the Beach.

Home and Away Tour Documentary

As Sydney tours go, this was the promotion opportunity to beat all promotion opportunities.  We are still waiting to see the final cut, but over the winter, Flamin' Galah were featured in an Irish TV documentary about Irish people visiting Palm Beach to see where Home and Away is filmed.  After collecting two Irish tourists who would feature on the doco along with a film crew, we dropped them off at Palm Beach and set them to work.  The weather was glorious and it will be the perfect way to portray what happens at Palm Beach and also how passionate the Irish are about the show.  We are eager to see the documentary which also includes interviews with the cast and depicts how easy it is for fans of the show to get really up close and personal to the filming of Home and Away.

Sydney Tour Southern Highlands

By Flamin' Galah Sydney Tours on Tuesday, August 13, 2013

The Southern Highlands, is sadly an area South of Sydney that is never explored as a typical day trip out of Sydney.  Not long ago, Flamin' Galah Sydney Tours, were asked to do a private charter to this unsung area and it looks like it may be the first of many for this social group.  The area is just an hour and half south of Sydney and incorporates the beautiful areas of Moss Vale and the very quaint town of Berrima.  Here we stopped for a morning tea and scone, before then going into the cold jail house for an interesting tour.  After Berrima we continued on, this time aiming for two separate vineyards that were both welcoming and very experienced when it came to wine tasting.  Following that, we then headed to an art gallery in Moss Vale, before heading back to Sydney.  The scenery in this area is so very different to other parts of Sydney and has a classic country town feel to it, with wonderful European trees and rolling hills and farmland.  It inspired us to run another Sydney tour to this area and include Royal National Park, Grand Pacific Drive, Bulli Scenic Lookout, Kangaroo Valley and Fitzroy Falls.

Here is a picture that says it all - 70 odd Norwegian students on the steps of the prestigious International College of Management Sydney (ICMS).  The photo was taken in April as the students had just finished their 3 months at the college and it were celebrating that night with a farewell party.
